which was fucking awesome, as it totally reflected what a crazy-vampire-newblood would go through and feel like. It wasnt until about halfway through the game when I started to realized some of the stuff Im seeing and hearing isnt actually there and that there may be something off with me. The odd/cool thing was, I didn't actually read the descriptions fully and wasn't aware how 'crazy' my character was I thought the weird dialog was a cheap gimmick of the clan and that's it.
On my first playthrough I chose Malk because thats what the initial quiz told me to do. And even if you dont understand something, isn't it better this way, as it helps you identify with your character more than if you already had a clear idea of what is going on? Everyone always says malk is a bad choice for first playthrough, and I disagreed with pretty much the same reason as yours.
People told me that one would have trouble choosing that clan out of the gate, but it totally wasn't the case.Oh my god, thank you.
On my first playthrough as a Malkavian I found the game's story utterly coherent and straight-forward. Malkavians are the most fun, plus their terror/sanity-based powers are quite powerful.
